English reading 003

Margaret Schlegel was one of people in the story of Howard End. She was  a sensible young woman.

Why would I say like this? For example, from an early age, she just decided that individual people could trust their own ideas more than they could trust the ideas of a larger group. Except for physical health, she thought that money was the most important thing, and home is the second most important thing. On the contrary, her younger sister, Helen, was more attractive and passionate than her.

One Response so far.

  1. Do you think it’s better for a women to be sensible? Or, attractive and passionate?
