Get close to

get close to

Today, I learned a new phrase “get close to”, it means you try to be close sb or sth,

for example:

the cat is getting close to the fish toy

It takes the cat a long time to drop his guard and get close to me.

put up with

the other phrase is “put up with”, which means somebody can’t bear sth or sb

for example:

I can’t put up with the result which is stolen by thieves
