Last week, a new foreign colleage came to our department, my boss told me that I should take care of her the first day.

        1)  at the airport

I:   hi,my name is Susan.Welcome to China.What’s your name?

S:  Hi,My name is Lisa.

I:   Where are you from?

S:  I’m from  Canada. This is my  second business trip to China.

2) at the office 

S: How do you say “reference” in Chinese?

I:”参考文献”

S：Sorry,I can’t understand it.Could you say one more time?

I: 参-考-文-献

S: Would you speak more slowly?

I:参–考–文–献

S: Can you spell it ?

I: CAN -KAO-WEN-XIAN.

S: My brain hurts.I want to go home.

I: Take it easy.You can know it fast.

S: Thank you!I will do my best.

3)break at the morning

I:Hi,Lisa,would you prefer to have coffee or tea ?

S:I prefer a cup of coffee.

I:With sugar?

S:Yes, two sugars no milk, thank you.

I:You are welcome.

4)lunch

I:What would you like to eat?Chinese food or Western food?

S: I’d like to eat Chinese food.

I: I want to eat Chinese food too. What do you prefer? noodles or dumplings?

S:I want to eat dumpings today.

I:I want to eat noodles.Let’s order.Anything else?

S: Please give me another pair of chopsticks and some soy sauce.

after half an hour:

I:Do you need something more?

S: No,I’m full.I can’t eat another bite.

I: Bill,please.

after lunch:

I:How does it tastes?

S:It’s delicious!I want to come this restaurant tomorrow .

I:Ok.

5)afternoon

I:How are you,Lisa?

S:I’m not good.

I:You seem upset,what’s wrong?

S:I’ve lost my cell phone in the toilet, now I can’t find the way to the toilet.

I:Walk straight to the second door ,then turn right ,when you see the print machine ,turn left,the toilet is there.

S:Thank you very much!

I: You are welcome.Remember the way back.
