I learned a new word -“ gossip “from the Chapter 15 Of “The Third Ear” recently .
Original sentence:
He talked about the NFL, little pieces of gossip related to his home town, smattering his speech with American colloquialisms.
“ gossip ” means
“ conversation or reports about other people’s private lives that might be unkind, disapproving, or not true “
I try to practice making up sentences :
1. We sat in the classroom having a good gossip about our friends.
2. They are having a good gossip in the street .
3. Sophia has no time to engage in gossip.
