The author met the woman at the seminar that he attented .In the woman’s opinion ,she thought that Chinese is really difficult to learn ,a westerner can’t learn Chinese lessthan two years just like she did before .The author knew that therewas no good to argue with her,even though his view was totally opposite with her’s .Instead ,he decided to write this book <the third ear >.

         If I didn’t come across KUNGFU English three months ago ,my points of learning English were just the same as the woman mentioned  .The only different thing was that I had worked solid for four years ,even then only had the basics .That’s a true story on me .

      I even recited the scripts of the series of FRIENDS .I spent two years on reciting the season one .I wrote dozens of notebooks ,but at the end of the day I remembered nothing .I can read fluently as possible as I can .However ,I can’t talk ,even the simplest thing ,even communicate to my son .I had a kind of feeling that I was drowning in the sea ,I tried my best to get something to hook on to .Can you imagine that ,it’s as diffcult as breathing …….in the water ,especially for a person who can’t swim .

      kungfu English was the floating ice that I finally grabbed before I died .Now ,I am the person who sat safely on a not-so-big drift ice .I have the strategies and techniques that I need to build my ice .I am absolutely confident that I will build my ice more thicker and bigger .

      There will be a day that I could  speak English as fluent  as my mother tongue .I know I can do it and that day is just around the corner .
