Learning English is now my priority because I’m going to study in New Zealand. In order to do that, it’s important for me to be fluent in English. And, of course, I have to score at least 6.5 in the IELTS test to be accepted by an university.

About a year ago, my colleagues and I joined a meeting with our clients about the budget of a project we were working on. As the meeting progressed, we seemed to get to a dead end. Our clients insisted on cutting the budget in half while expanding the crew numbers to get the work done ahead of time. That sounded insane to us. So we got into an argument. At the end, we found out that our clients wanted the work done on time the most, therefore we made a plan to ensure it with the budget remaining the same.

A Ghost Conflict happens between two or more people discussing about some thing. They might speak different languages or they communicate with the same tongue. The point is, while they actually mean the same thing, they just disagree with each other. In my view, in most cases, this is caused by people so eager to prove themselves right. Rather than listening patiently and understanding, they “fight back”.

I often get lost. I’m not very good at such things as getting directions, reading maps. Once my friend and I were about to meet, I wrote down the address and successfully got to the exact place. However, my friend was not there. It turned out that that particular place, which was a square, had four entrance! Thanks to the modern technology, I pulled out my phone, used an APP on my phone to locate myself and my friend, then let the APP do the work for me – finding my friend. Luckily, we met just in a few minutes.
