Write about why you are learning English. How does learning English help you with other parts of your life.

 

Learning English is now the major part of my life because I’m going to take the IELTS test soon. And that’s because I’m planning to study and live in New Zealand. For the other reason, I believe it’s important for us to learn about what’s going on abroad since ‘the earth is flat’. As we all know, English is one of the most common language in the world. That makes learning English inevitably.

 

For one thing, learning English helps me become more confident. Before I started learning English with Kungfu English program, I was terrified. I was terrified because even though I’ve been learning English for almost 20 years, I still couldn’t converse with others. Now I’m quite certain that I can master English in a few months and with good fun. English is no longer a ‘monster’ to me, but a ‘friend’ and tool to me. That makes me confident about the test I’m going to take and also look forward to the life I’m going to live in New Zealand.

 

For the other, I can read books, listen to music, watch movies, TV shows, YouTube videos without translation or subtitles. Things do get lost in translation, so I’m always confused about why the audience laughed at the certain time in a show. Now I laugh and enjoy.
