1.What happened at the seminar that the author attended?
A young woman told the author that she had worked hard to learn Mandarin Chinese for two years, but she had only learned the basics. What she really meant was that learning Chinese is too difficult.
Then the author told her that he thought Chinese could be mastered very quickly by a Westerner, in just a few months.
The young woman thought that this was not possible; she even thought the author was slightly mad.
2.What new ideas, for you, did you come across on this page?
I believe the author is right. I will learn English using the strategies and techniques that the author shares in The Third Ear.
3.Why did the author write “The Third Ear”?
Because he thought that writing this book was better than getting into an argument with the young woman.
4.Do you agree with the author’s reasons for writing “The Third Ear”? If so, why? If not, why not?
I agree with the author’s reasons. Because this way can explain things more clearly and deeply. At the same time, more people can get strategies and techniques by reading The Third Ear.
