My Close Call

The Close Call

Today,I want to share my only close call to you.

One day, the spring of 2009,I was on my way to Nyingchi,a county in Tibet, where I went to work. There were 4 people in the car that we ride. And I was sitting beside the driver on the front seat of the car.The driver was a thirties man, comes from Qinghai Province, and was  thin and strong. At the begining of the journey, I looked through the car window at the view. Many stone hills ran towards and away from the car and there were no tree beside the road but some short grass. After several hours, as three other person gradually had fallen asleep except for the driver and me, suddenly, I felt the car moving away from the road. Why is that? The driver looked like that he couldn’t control the car.He looked a little nervous, and as well calm. And he tried to turn the wheel, but that didn’t matter. At the end,all he could do was stare ahead at the approaching hill, almost as though there was a compulsion to drive straight towards that place. And I had never thought of this kind of thing before. There was only one idea in my mind with no fear or some other emotions—oh, this turns out to be a car accident. After simple less one second the idea emerged in my mind, the car hit the hill and broke.Luckly, all the people in the car were safe. Then the boss who sat on the back seat of the car called a rescue car on the mobile phone. At last,we got to the workshop at that night.

When I come across to recall this thing, I’m satisfied with my calmness.I hope I can hold it up.In my perspective,  if I want to do something successfully, then I need the same calmness. It applies equally to language-learning.
