New word ~ “ mirth “

I learned a new word -“ mirth “from the Chapter 14 Of “The Third Ear” recently .

Original sentence:
The people around the table were falling over themselves with mirth.

“ mirth “ means “laughter, humour or happiness “

I try to practice making up sentences:
1. The music classroom resounded with mirth.
2. The arrival of the Santa Claus were a source of considerable mirth.
3. This joke occasioned great mirth among the guests.
