New word ~ “ settle on “

I learned new word -“ settle on “from the Chapter 15 Of “The Third Ear” recently .

Original sentence:
After 10 or 15 minuets I finally settled on one item – a relatively inexpensive vegetable dish – and a bowl of white rice.

“settle on “ means
“ to agree on a decision ”

I try to practice making up sentences :
1. The insect settled on a leaf.
2. Have you settled on the cloth you prefer?
3. In the store , she settled on a pair of blue shoes.
