After a few time arrived in Beijing.The author made two friends,and then they took them went to Beidaihe,a seaside resort.After two days chill out,the author went back to Beijing with his friends by train.But there was no ticket to buy.So got on to the train anyway,then stayed at in the dinning couch.A ten minutes after,a railway security guard approached to the author,and sit down the author,then trying to talk with him.The author also wanted to talk with him even though they both didn’t know how to speak other’s language.So they started talking by drew pictures on paper and mimed things etc.The author talked with him in this way for six hours,and he sensed over thousands Chinese characters,it was included many useful patters.After the train trip,the author attended a Chinese test.He was able to had a simple oral conversation with the examiners,even he can’t writing as good as what he speaking in his writing test.The author was on the way to master Chinese.
The key idea here is immerse yourself in a real conversation in the real life,you can observe the language naturally.I had the same experience with the author. When just settle down this city in 16 years ago,I can’t speak this city’s dialect.I didn’t to try to learn this dialect consciously.One day I found that I was already able to speak this dialect,and the accent was very good.So I think if we learn a language in the real life is better learn it in class.
Seven years ago,when I went to GuangZhou to had an internship with my schoolmates.The local people in there were speaking Cantonese.We was lived in a hotel,a young lady tread us.Apparently she was a local person.One day I was walking down the stairs,and I met her at the corner.She was trying to talk to me with Cantonese,I thought she was thinking I am local.Heard her talking I was baffled for a while.Then I responded to her I don’t understand.Then she realized that I wasn’t local,so she speak the previous contents in Mandarin again.After this short funny conversation with the lady,I found that I was impressive of a Cantonese leihao means Hello,Mandarin is Nihao,I remember it even today.
These experiences made me believe that the best way to learn a language is have conversation with real people in real life.
