Third Ear Pages 14-15 My Thoughts on The Third Ear Pages 14-15

Is it true that only children can learn a second language easily? Why do you think that? What is the evidence?

It is not true. One of my colleagues learnt a second language when she was in adulthood, and it seemed not too hard for her to learn a new language. Therefore,I believe that adults also can learn a second language. Before I started to learn KungFu English,I thought maybe my colleague is naturally gifted. But now I guess that she was just probably in the position to improve the language naturally. She was so lucky that she got the quite proper method of learning by accident. Now I can use this method to learn English, so I’m lucky ,too.

Share your experience of learning English in a traditional foreign language classroom.

When I was Grade 3 of primary school, I started to learn English. My English teacher taught me some phrases and asked me to speak them over and over again,  then I would recite them out.I was interested in that, because I can remembered all of them and I was number one in my class. Until my Grade 1 in middle school, I got to lose my focus on English gradually, because of the English teacher who maybe didn’t like me.Although I had passed CET 6 at university later on, just stepped on the passing line of 425,I know I lost my initial passion to English.I loved English when I first  saw it,  however,I threw away the chance of mastering it.I’m so happy that I can pick it up again now.

Share your experience learning English in a brain friendly way.

My brain prefers a much more simple and easy way to learn English. And it needs something repeated to recognize the patterns that is in English. So translating  is not much better than labeling things around me in English. My brain loves a direct way. When I want to say something in English, I need to feel my 5 senses, seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling,  and touching, then I can see something in my mind and use the English labels to speak them out. It’s better to add some relative postures and gestures, or simulation movement.
