I had similar experience for the first time I went abroad and ordered some food in English.

At the time, I am afraid to say even one word from my mouth because I worried what I said were wrong. But when I saw my friends taking it easy, I got confidence and copied their action. Yes! It’s not hard. The more response you get, the more confidence you win.

  The first step is important for learning a new language. But most of time, language learners hesitate to speak the first word to communicate with others. And then lost a lot of opportunities to get response from others. Language learning is the process for communicating. Even we don’t know some words, but we still can communicate by some gestures and facial expressions. What the really stop us is nothing but our self.

If we start to do that, we are on the right way for learning a new language. At the same time, it would become more and more interesting.
