Homework

Last month, I got a new job in another city. Then I drove my car and took my dog and my luggage to the city. I had rented a small apartment with furniture in the city. I rented it by the internet. And I just saw the photos on line. It looked pretty good and the rent was cheaper, so I paid for a year.

When I arrived at my new home, I found that it placed in an old housing estate. It is on the top of the building which has eight floors. What’s worse, there is no elevator in the building. I had to carry all suitcases and boxes by myself. My dog did not like our new home. So it refused to climb the stairs. I had to pull the dog’s tail and went upstairs.

After I had moved all things, I was tired. I had a rest. Then I looked around the room. It was dusty and untidy. The furniture was placed in a mess. Although there was a blackboard on a wall, it was covered by some ugly pictures. I could not bear all of these. So I cleaned the room first. Then I replaced the furniture: I pushed the bookcase in the corner; I pushed the sofa in front of the blackboard; I pulled the table beside the refrigerator. Then I erased the ugly pictures on the blackboard. I even draw a new picture.

When I was busy cleaning the room, my dog was making trouble. It pulled my suitcase outside the door. And it folded the mat or bit the cushion. At last, it jumped on the desk and broke my lamp.

I was very angry. I pointed at the dog’s nose and blamed it loudly. The dog felt very guilty. It squatted on the floor and listened quietly. When I stopped, it came and stood beside me. It rubbed my leg with its head. I did not want to forgive it, so I went away. The dog came again and licked my hand with tongue. I could not help smiling. I patted the dog’s head and forgave it.

I went on cleaning the room until night. Finally, the room was tidy and I was exhausted. I lay down on the sofa. I could hardly raise my arms. But I felt a little happy. “Tomorrow is another day!” I told myself.
