the third ear page21-23 writing homework

In this “the ghost of an unknown language” and “just can’t stop learning” paragraph the author states that as a human, we can pick up languages at an unconscious level. It seems natural and easy for us to learn a new language. Like pigeons are programmed to find their way home, we were hard-wired to learn language. we can’t stop ourselves listen the sound of the words and discerning them to use them when we need them. If we immerse ourselves into the sound of language sea, and just let our brain absorb rhythm and intonation naturally, we can have a sense of the language to help us master the language more quickly.  But I wondered why most people, like me, still struggle with learning a new language? we just can’t better use our natural language talent to learn a language effectively. we picked up our mother tongue readily when we growing up. It seems not very difficult. But when we began to learn a new language, even though we worked solid,  our achievements weren’t as good as we expected. Now my strategies are keep doing brain soaking and recognize more new words, then use these words as much as I can when I am practicing English.
