Ask Why is actually a self-responding when we meet something new for the first time, and we tend to figure is that make sense with our past experience. An native English speaker may also think why Chinese only have one word to describe different types of description for positive things. Actually, ask why frequently may make us exhausted when we are learning. Focus on how and what, and get a response to make sure we use it correctly is more interesting.

   Social convention is a reasonable explanation to stop us asking why again and again. It just like rule when playing a game. People living in the same place have similar life experiences, and that may specific word to describe specific things. I think this make sense to give this specific word into social convention as a rule in that place. If you don’t know why, that’ ok. You just only know how to use that word to communicate with people, and people get what you mean. That’s enough!
