So thank you for your reply. It has bothered me since my daughter was born.
My son is learning English online. My purpose is to improve his ability to speak sentences, because he always chooses to say and answer something in words. There are so many teachers in choice. Is it better to fix one teacher for him,so the teacher could arrange some lessons and content according to his situation? Or fix two or three teachers,so he could be familar with different accents?
In the English world we don’t think of Patrick and Patricia as being the same name. I’m not sure what is actually “normal” in the USA.
I did a quick online search, and can’t quickly find anything that speaks to this.
My view – it should be ok. 🙂 Although, if they both shorten it to “Pat”, it’ll get confusing. 🙂
