Lesson 364’s homework L2B 91-95 story

Jimmy was going to send a letter to his father. Because he has had no money to pay the school for next term. He walked to the post office and gave the letter to the postman who was collecting mail from the postbox. A few days later, he collected his father’s reply from the letterbox. His father told him that he lost his job recently, and he can’t support his tuition before he found a new job. This was miserable for them, but his father also gave him some good advice. “We can’t change the difficulty we have met, but we can choose how to respond. Don’t waste your energy in the bad mood, use your energy looking for ways that can solve problems.” Even though Jimmy was disappointed, he determined to be an optimistic person to face this challenge. He knew he should earn money by himself, but didn’t have any idea. When he was thinking, he heard a heavy sigh which seemed coming from his neighbor. “What’s wrong? Do you need some help?” Jimmy remembered being positive, so he smiled, showed kindness and asked. “My computer didn’t work. And I just can’t figure it out. This is a big trouble for my work.” Jimmy got into the neighbor’s house and tried to deal with neighbor’s problems. Firstly, he checked the cable that connected the computer and wall socket. Jimmy successfully solved the computer problems, and the neighbor gave him some money as a reward.

One day, Jimmy noticed that he hadn’t seen the grandma who lived across the street for a period of time. So he decided to take a look at the grandma. He knocked the door but no one answered. He got into the house through the opened window and saw the grandma lying on the bed. The grandma told him she fell down from the stairs and broke her bone last week. She was really glad that Jimmy came to visit her. She begged Jimmy to look for her granddaughter. Jimmy walked around the little town and looked for the granddaughter. Suddenly, he saw a girl in the park that looked like the granddaughter. He called to the girl standing near the park bench. When the girl approached him. It’s really the granddaughter. He took her back to the grandma’s home. And from that day, Jimmy began to do house work for the grandma and took care of her until she had a good recovering. The grandma gave money to Jimmy as a thank.

After that, Jimmy did a lot of work to earn money. He repaired the bicycle for a boy, repaired television for an old man, change the number plate on the car for the car owner, chase the dog down the street and catch the dog back for the dog owner. Even though Jimmy worked hard, money still not enough to pay the tuition. This is compounded by the fact that, because Jimmy was too tired, he had no energy to focus on his learning at school.

One day, Jimmy’s teacher asked him to multiply seven and three and write the result in the notebook. But she found jimmy fell asleep in the class. The teacher didn’t blame him. Instead, the teacher concerned him after class. Jimmy admitted he was busy at earning money to pay the school tuition. The teacher really had a strong empathy. He launched a donation for Jimmy in the class, and because Jimmy often helped others, all student in the class want to help Jimmy. Since then, tuition wasn’t a problem for Jimmy any longer.
